A “Google” Advertisers May Lead to Fewer Clicks
August 27th, 2008 by Amanda Google continues to be the juggernaut search engine of choice for the masses. Hovering around a fifty percent share of all internet searches, Google dominates the search engine world for providing options to those who are looking for virtually anyone or anything. Still, when it comes to law firm marketing, it is possible that this giant beast can get in the way of the giant audience on the other side. Because of the size of the audience, Google can naturally charge more than other search engines and more pay-per-click lawyer advertising is done there than on any other search engine. The problem is that so many attorneys, even for such a large market share, can clog the system between being seen by potential clients and getting a case. I point out a few things to them. First, how did they come upon our information were it not for the search engines? This one always gets the email-ers because the email address that our consultation forms go through is not my usual email, so I can track…

You don’t have to sacrifice creative attorney web designs for Google
February 1st, 2008 by AmandaAs I search through the Internet for videographers for my Dallas wedding, I have found many beautiful, artistic websites. After meeting with several of them, I realize how much the website reflects the personalities of the videographers. However, what I have also noticed is that the videographers that come the most highly recommended to me from family and friends are the same ones with great-looking websites that do not show up in the search engines. A simple search for “Dallas videographer” or “Dallas wedding videographer” does not result in any of these recommended vendors. When I asked one couple last night why I could not find them in the search engines, the answer was pretty much that they wanted to focus on the artistic look of the website and sacrifice the need for content that Google requires. My thoughts are that it is great that their referral base is so…
