Attorney Website Design: Information at a Glance

As new technology continues to influence our lives, attention spans continue to decrease. For your law firm marketing website to be effective, viewers should be able to find the information that they need quickly. Many individuals use the Internet for instant information. To hold their interest and entice them to drill down into the site, viewers should be able to find the following information at a glance:

• Who you are
• What practice areas you focus on
• How to contact you

Potential clients will be more likely to stay on your law firm marketing website, and contact you, if they know that you will be able to provide the services that they need. At Attorneys Online, Inc, we believe in the “three second rule.” This means that we design our attorney advertising websites so that viewers will be able to know within three seconds, who are clients are, what they do and how to contact them.

Make sure you own your domain name

When you set up any type of lawyer marketing, you want to make sure that you know what is going on and that you have all important information.  When my clients make the switch to us from other companies, one thing that they are often surprised to find is that they do not own their own domain names.  After all, my client chose the name and made a payment for it, so should they not own it?  Unfortunately, it is one way that other law firm marketing companies trap customers.   And it makes sense for these companies.  If you do a lot of marketing using a particular domain name, you will stay with them because, if not, you will have to change or redo your marketing since you cannot keep the domain name.  We don’t believe in this tactic at all.  When we register a domain name for our clients, we do so in our client’s names with their credit cards.  At any time, our clients are free to ask us for their domain name username and password and we can provide it to them.  So be wary before you ask someone to register a domain name for you and make sure that you own it.

Walking and Chewing Gum

At Attorneys Online, Inc., we like to do more than one thing at a time. We like to coordinate our efforts for you benefit. In the business of law firm internet marketing an integrated approach serves the client by building a harmonious approach using all involved areas. For instance, the pay-per-click campaign is set up using keywords that are considered to be the best potential terms to attract the clients that can most use your services. If lawyer advertising is working at all, it should focus on getting the clients for which your particular skills will be most useful.

After deciding which keywords will work best in law firm advertising on pay-per-click campaigns, the law firm website design will include content written with those keywords strategically integrated into the text. This will give your website the best chance of being seen by those who need your specific services. Also, those keywords can be used in an ongoing regularly updated blog format to steadily improve search engine placement. That just means that you will move to the first page on Google and Yahoo and other search engines rather than page two hundred—or whatever.

Law firm marketing doesn’t take the balance of a tight-rope walker, but being able to walk and chew gum simultaneously is a plus. Let us help you make the most of your advertising campaigns.
