Attorneys Online Asks for Your Help to Save Rescued Horse Sanctuary

December 12th, 2011 by Beckie

For many abused, disabled and abandoned horses, Villa Chardonnay is their last chance. Located south of Los Angeles, the horse rescue center and sanctuary is home to 70 animals, 43 of which are rescued horses. The horses come to Villa Chardonnay from families that can no longer afford to care for them, and some are rescued from abusive or neglectful situations.

In their current facility, Villa Chardonnay regularly has to turn away desperately ill and neglected horses for lack of space and funding. Owners are currently in negotiations to purchase a new facility that would provide shelter and space for over 250 abandoned, abused horses. But they need help. They are attempting to raise $500,000 to acquire the facility and care for the horses.

When the horses arrive at Villa Chardonnay, many of them are in fragile health. They receive the veterinary care, shelter and nutritious food they so desperately need, and live in comfort as they recover. After rehabilitation, the horses live out the rest of their days in retirement at the facility, and some of them participate in equine therapy sessions with children and challenged adults. The care these horses desperately need usually runs about $8000 per month. Owners Monika Kerber and Louise Gardner have personally paid the cost to keep Villa Chardonnay in service, supported in part by donations. The work they do is as important and incredible as it is selfless, but so many horses still need a place to go.

Villa Chardonnay needs your help to keep saving the lives of these amazing animals. As a nonprofit, they receive no federal, state or local assistance. The costs of running this facility are extremely high, but the owners know that Villa Chardonnay is the only hope for these horses, many of which would otherwise be euthanized or sent to slaughter.

Please consider donating to this worthy and important cause. There are multiple ways to donate, including individual and corporate sponsorship. Help Villa Chardonnay save the lives of these beautiful animals. Attorneys Online Inc. is honored to support this worthy organization. We urge you to help us help Villa Chardonnay.
