Make sure you own your domain name
When you set up any type of lawyer marketing, you want to make sure that you know what is going on and that you have all important information. When my clients make the switch to us from other companies, one thing that they are often surprised to find is that they do not own their own domain names. After all, my client chose the name and made a payment for it, so should they not own it? Unfortunately, it is one way that other law firm marketing companies trap customers. And it makes sense for these companies. If you do a lot of marketing using a particular domain name, you will stay with them because, if not, you will have to change or redo your marketing since you cannot keep the domain name. We don’t believe in this tactic at all. When we register a domain name for our clients, we do so in our client’s names with their credit cards. At any time, our clients are free to ask us for their domain name username and password and we can provide it to them. So be wary before you ask someone to register a domain name for you and make sure that you own it.
