Walk, Don’t Ride in Philly – It saves a lot of aggravation

As usual, we had a great time at the AAJ convention in Philadelphia.  Our law firm marketing consultants were a hit, as was our booth.  In addition to spending time at the exhibit hall, we still had plenty of time to see the sights – the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the statue of Rocky, the Love statue, and more.  We even got acupuncture in Chinatown.  Overall, the City of Brotherly Love was a great place to visit.

However, if you travel here – beware of the cab drivers!  Of the dozen or so cab rides we took, we had problems with 10.  First thing to know – there is a flat rate of $28.50 (plus a 50 cent gas surcharge) from the Philadelphia airport to downtown.  The drivers may try and charge you $35+ and when you ask why, they explain that it includes their tip.  But, if you call them on it, they will stick to the price (as long as you know to ask).  Second, there is a big sign in the cab that says that every cab must accept credit cards and that the cab cannot operate without a working credit card machine.  However, we didn’t find a single cab driver that failed to say “what, you don’t have cash?”  Then, even at that, they still try to say that the machine does not work.  But, again, if you tell them that you want to try to run the card, it always works – imagine that!  Now, I do have to admit that the apparent motivation for these cab drivers is that the cab company charges the drivers a higher percentage for credit card customers; however, as a rider, that is not my fault and the drivers need to follow their own rules.

Nonetheless, we always have a great time seeing our current clients and meeting new ones.  If you missed us, please give us a call and we can set up a time to discuss your current lawyer advertising strategies.

Law Firm Marketing Content

Well written informative content is an important aspect of an attorney website design. Content can be used as a way to represent your experience and knowledge to potential clients. It is a way for you to demonstrate your qualifications as an attorney.

Below are some very important tips that should be taken into consideration in regards to law firm marketing content:

• Break up the text with headings and bullet points so that it can be easily read on a computer screen.
• Use italics and bold to highlight key words and phrases.
• Underlined words are reserved for hyperlinks
• Content should be kept short in order to hold the readers attention

Having well written law firm marketing content will help your attorney web design stand out.

Bringing Lawyer Advertising Strategies to the AAJ Convention in Philadelphia

It is once again time to head to the American Association for Justice’s Annual Convention – this year in Philadelphia.  This is always one of our favorite conventions, not just because we get to show of our attorney advertising knowledge, but also because this group has some of the most fun events.  Last year, I attended a lunch that had Barack, Hillary, Joe, John, and Bill as speakers.  Not to mention the amazing places for their receptions – museums, theaters, and more.

If you have the opportunity to attend this convention, it really is one that should not be missed, both for attorney, as well as exhibitors.  And, if you are an attorney that will be attending, please stop by our booth in the exhibit hall (booth number 315) to discuss your current law firm marketing strategies.  We may have a few things that you have not tried yet and we would be happy to help evaluate your current marketing plan.  Or, if you just want to get the inside scoop on the best places to go in Philly, we make great travel agents, too!
