Report Time Again

At the beginning of each month, we send reports from your pay-per-click campaigns from the previous month to you. It’s that time again! We are busily pulling reports and getting them ready to send out. These reports are a valuable tool for you to evaluate your Lawyer Internet Marketing. When you look them over you may have questions or comments and we want to be able to help you with any of those. Your Law Firm Marketing is a collaborative effort. We see things from only our side and though I may see that you are getting clicks on your pay per click campaigns, there is no way for me to know if they are translating into contacts on your end unless I hear from you.
As you look over your reports, there may be some terms you don’t understand. The following explanation of column headings may help:

Impressions: The number of times someone typed in that keyword and your ad came up on the page for them to view.

Clicks: The number of times someone actually clicked on your ad (this is when you get charged) and is taken to your website.

Avg. CPC: This is the average cost per click for the keyword you are viewing.

Cost: This is how much you spent altogether (for the month) on clicks for that keyword.

Avg. Position: The average position of your ad in the sponsored links for the month.

CTR: The ratio of impressions to clicks (clicks divided by impressions). Any CTR over 1% is considered VERY good.

Be sure to take time to look over your reports when you receive them and compare the results with the kinds of response you are getting in your office. We want to make your Law Firm Marketing as valuable to your practice as possible and there may be things we could tweak that would improve the response you are getting if we have your feedback. Lawyer Internet Marketing is a fluid and sometimes tricky thing and is enhanced by your communication with us.
