Don’t Forget the Basics

When you’re doing law firm advertising, be sure not to overlook some of the basics. When it comes to lawyer marketing on the web, it is important to keep you phone number in plain view, usually at the top of the page in big letters. If you offer a free initial consultation, including that fact next to the phone number is also a good idea. There should be no question to anyone browsing over your website (especially if they got there through your sponsored search ad) about how easily and quickly you can be contacted.

Another basic attorney website design tip is to include several different pages of specifically targeted content. Content that is written so that the inclusion of terms targeted to your law firm’s niche is important to get your website more attention and get you more business. Several web pages of that targeted kind of content will be even more helpful to get attention from web browsers like Google and Yahoo and will get your website higher on Google’s search listings.

There are several ways that Attorneys Online, Inc., can help you when you’re trying to make the most of your web advertising dollar. Call us to find out how many ways there are to get you attention from the potential clients that are looking for a lawyer just like you.

Blogs are a Useful Tool in Lawyer Marketing

A blog is an online form of a journal. They are typically considered a tool of journalism, but they can offer beneficial and efficient law firm advertising.

A law firm blog that is incorporated into your attorney website design can be a source of successful marketing for your firm. Some of the many benefits of maintaining a law firm blog are:

• Increased visibility, through regular updates

• Generate higher traffic to your website

An important factor in maintaining a lawyer marketing blog, is updating it regularly. Content can be on any topic that will apply to your audience. Traveling to and from Vancouver can take some time… a LOT of time

At the end of May, we attended the AFCC conference in Vancouver to discuss our lawyer advertising expertise.  Since we all love Seattle, we flew in from our various offices and met in Seattle to drive to Vancouver.  Getting into Vancouver was a breeze; we were in the border patrol line for less than a half hour.  However, getting back was a nightmare!  We were in line for over two and a half hours (which is apparently pretty common for a Saturday afternoon).  But, we did learn one neat trick.  If you are driving South to cross back into America, get into the far right lane and go to the duty free shop.  You will have to run in and buy something (anything) so that you can get a receipt.  Then, once you leave the duty free shop, you will be allowed to cut in line.  While it sounds like this would take more time, it really doesn’t.  But, even with that trick, we were still in line for a very, very long time!

My favorite thing that we did in Vancouver was to go to the Capilano Bridge.  It was by far one of the most breath-taking and beautiful things that I have ever seen.  If you are in a rush, you can get from downtown Vancouver, to the bridge and around the park, and back downtown in an hour.  However, if you have more time, you could spend hours just wandering around, eating, and taking pictures.  When we go back to Vancouver this month, I want to go to Grouse Mountain.  Stay tuned to hear how that is!
