At the end of May, we attended the AFCC conference in Vancouver to discuss our lawyer advertising expertise.  Since we all love Seattle, we flew in from our various offices and met in Seattle to drive to Vancouver.  Getting into Vancouver was a breeze; we were in the border patrol line for less than a half hour.  However, getting back was a nightmare!  We were in line for over two and a half hours (which is apparently pretty common for a Saturday afternoon).  But, we did learn one neat trick.  If you are driving South to cross back into America, get into the far right lane and go to the duty free shop.  You will have to run in and buy something (anything) so that you can get a receipt.  Then, once you leave the duty free shop, you will be allowed to cut in line.  While it sounds like this would take more time, it really doesn’t.  But, even with that trick, we were still in line for a very, very long time!

My favorite thing that we did in Vancouver was to go to the Capilano Bridge.  It was by far one of the most breath-taking and beautiful things that I have ever seen.  If you are in a rush, you can get from downtown Vancouver, to the bridge and around the park, and back downtown in an hour.  However, if you have more time, you could spend hours just wandering around, eating, and taking pictures.  When we go back to Vancouver this month, I want to go to Grouse Mountain.  Stay tuned to hear how that is!
