One More Day

All of us wish we had more time. Time to spend with family and friends perhaps? But, honestly, what would we really do with that extra time if we had it? We would all probably get more work done. We’d see this as an opportunity to use the day to catch up on paperwork, try and clean out your desk, or just go through that in-box and try to make a dent.

Well today is that chance. It’s Leap Day. An extra day that we get every four years to get something done that we wouldn’t normally have time for. If you haven’t thought about what to do with that extra time, here are some suggestions. Go through your law firm’s website and law firm marketing strategies for the website. See if it needs a new website design, your attorney biography could use a rewrite, or maybe even some search engine optimization should be considered.

At Attorneys Online we can help you spend this extra time wisely. We can go over your law firm marketing campaign with you to see where you need help not only to get your site where it needs to be but to take your law firm where it needs to go. Time is of the essence. This extra day won’t be here again for another four years.

Don’t Get Flashy

Lawyer website designs are excellent ways for giving information to potential clients about the attorney and what she does. Text that gives specific information regarding the essentials, such as practice areas, firm profiles, background history, high profile successes, etc., are perfect ways to get the right points across on an attorney web page.

What is not a good idea to include when trying to maximize the benefits of attorney internet marketing is the use of excessive multimedia. The reason for this is that search engines like Google and Yahoo don’t like the non-text format of these Flash or other multimedia setups which means that your website will have a more difficult time moving to the top of the natural listings for potential clients who are searching for an attorney. Law firm marketing has a much better chance of success if the information that is included is geared to work in concert with the way the search engines are designed to search. That means a lot of text that is centered on exactly what you do.

Don’t open with a “cool” flash video. Don’t put multimedia on your site that is for nothing more than giving a technological twist that “proves” you are part of the next generation of net-savvy legal marketers. Lawyer internet marketing is done best when you deliver the information that the client is looking for up front. Content is king. Otherwise, you risk potential clients being gone in a flash.

Welcome Back, Wiczer and Zelmar!

The Chicago law firm of Wiczer and Zelmar recently renewed their Attorneys Online, Inc.’s lawyer marketing campaign.  Based on the client’s current needs to get the firm name more exposure, we set up a SNAP campaign right away, which, according to the client has “[resulted in] more hits”.  The client is “pretty happy with the way it has turned out so far” and we are glad to have the team back with us.

Wiczer and Zelmar represents businesses, families, and entrepreneurs with business law matters, litigation, labor and employment issues, real estate matters, bankruptcy, and estate planning.
