Many years ago, FLASH was the way to go.  If you had a website, you wanted it to move, play a movie, talk, and maybe even cook you dinner.  Today, this is just not the case.  Consumers want to find information quickly – without waiting through FLASH intros.  If you have one, it is time to put it to rest.  At a minimum, you definitely need to have the “skip intro” button.  However, ideally, just make the flash movie elements one part of your design (off to the side) where it can be appreciated for being innovative without wasting a surfer’s time.  Afterall, if a person doesn’t want to sit through it, they can always close out the website and go to another one (and that’s just giving business away).

If you’re looking to make your lawyer website design look great and still have the cutting-edge feel, it can absolutely be done.  But waiting for a long movie to load just is not it.
