Reds, blues, and greens – oh, my! Choosing attorney website design colors
When we are creating a new attorney web design, we always ask the client if he/she has any color preferences. Often, the client will tell us his/her favorite colors; however, one woman selected her law firm website design based on the predominant colors in her wardrobe (lots of camel brown)!
Many clients stress about what colors on the website may mean, but, truthfully, a good-looking site in any color is what is most important. That said, after doing some basic web research, here is a quick summary of the most popular color meanings (bear in mind that not all sites agree on definitive color definitions).
- Red: power, leadership, passion
- Blue: calm, trust, wisdom
- Green: growth, safety, well-being
- Yellow: energy, happiness, exciting
Other things to consider: Different colors mean different things in various cultures, to various age groups, to various genders, etc. Due to this, I really do not think stressing about color is the best use of your time; you cannot please everyone all the time. Pick a color that you like and go with it!

Another tip for picking your favorite colors: What kind of color schemes do you use for your office? Consider your website like a virtual office. What type of image or feeling would you like to convey when someone “steps in” to check you out. Pick a color you feel would be a good first impression and our design team can handle the rest!
