It was reported yesterday that a “giant lego man” had come ashore in the Netherlands and no one is certain of its origin. One woman reports that she saw it floating in from the direction of England. Of course, it seems unlikely that the lego man swam the English Channel in order to arrive at the Dutch beach city but, nevertheless, that is where the eight foot tall lego man currently resides. The nearby sea resort town of Zandvoort has accepted the giant plastic statue giving it its own place on the sandy white beach where tourist and local children can have their picture taken with the smiling toy giant.
What does all of this have to do with attorney web marketing? Simply this. Out of a virtually endless sea filled with literally hundreds of thousands of different objects that might have washed up on the beach and been nothing but an eyesore and a nuisance, this is what came ashore. It is something that generates curiosity and attracts attention. Its presence is used now as a way to help tourists enjoy the beach and dream up their own story about how the oversized lego promotion turned beach bum made it to its present location.
The only other thing that could be better: if Lego had planned it.
